Wedding at the Heinepark Residence

The wedding kind of started very strangely as I was told by the groom two hours before the ceremony was supposed to start that the mother of the make up artist called saying she was sick. Being skipped out I had no other choice as researching for an alternative in my well working vendor network as quick as possible because I am only able to do make ups for carnival occasions -that’s it. But on a Saturday morning in summer it is almost impossible to find a good one as they are either booked or pregnant. Fortunately my lovely colleague Anna Brinkmann being in the industry and doing nothing else than realizing unique weddings, could help me out. After a few phone calls she had a solution and I was able to calm down the bride finally. With a perfect Make Up finish the wedding could start and the day ended up beautiful and smoothly without any unforeseen surprises.

As Wedding Photographer at Gut Bliestorf

Herrenhaus Gut Bliestorf next to Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein is a real masterpiece. Located calmly in the verdancy and having a very engaged host. The fact that you book beautiful rooms was the perfect condition for the wedding couple to start their day relaxed. I was really looking forward to a vibrant wedding party with a lot of children and good vibes.

The wedding was organized by Anna Brinkmann sitting in the same office as I do.

When it comes to Anna’s work you can tell that the wedding will have a beautiful and perfectly fitting decoration with lovely details and a smoothly schedule.

So just to let you know in case you are about to get married and about to start the planning process go ahead and ask Anna so that you do not have to worry about anything and enjoy your special day.

The sweet component of the wedding was a vegan and very tasty wedding cake by Angelique (Tortenschön) creating another highlight of the wedding. But please let me also make notice of the other well cooperating vendors doing a great job an making the day as special as possible.

This and that….

Caused by increasing requests I was not able to upload posts to this blog frequently in the last couple months. Better said: I was busy and I did not have time to keep you posted. Nevertheless I will show you beautiful weddings, that I could collected on my hard disk in the last couple months, soon. In the meantime I would like to make you aware of two interviews that will make you know me and my work better. You gotta check this out.

On the one hand you will see a detailed interview of WhiteWall, that I can recommend anyways. I really love ordering stuff from them like large Pictures and canvas.

On the other hand you will see an interview divided into four parts with my highly appreciated colleague Patrick Rudolph (neun-zehn72.de). Patrick is a Photoblogger publishing lots of data and ideas regarding photography. His videos I have linked directly through his YouTube channel.

As Wedding Photographer at Gastwerk

Last fall I had the pleasure to be a part of a very beautiful wedding. The wedding couple got married at Süllberg and ended up for their reception at Gastwerk. A recent discovered patio in St. Pauli was the perfect location for taking their portraits. But we did not meet the patio’s owner. Well just get your own opinion on that :-)

Summer Wedding at Cloud and at the Alster Riverside

Today I would like to show you a wedding that I was allowed to accompany in summer 2015. The wedding couple got married at Michel’s being Hamburg’s biggest cathedral. Afterwards the wedding party was invited to a skybar called Clouds. Portraits had been shot in their garden incorporating the funny dogs and their beloved Vespa.
The reception took place at Portonovo where the bride got surprised by an individual written love song.

Second Shooter was Natalia Cury.

Summer Wedding on Sylt

The fact that I am photographing weddings on Sylt quite often is not a secret. The Island is simply beautiful and I dare to claim that there is nearly no other place in the world where on can marry so relaxed.

One reason for this is the beautiful island itself with its impressive landscape and the outstanding locations, like the Breizh and the Stroenholt – where the reception and the party took place – and also the Budersand, a great place to get ready for the wedding day (make up: Twin-Scissors). Another reason is that every guest here is, above all, a holiday maker and is able to enjoy the time around the wedding very well.

The marriage ceremony happened in the branch of the registrar’s office at the museum of local history, between ships in bottles and original figureheads of the old Sylter whaling ships. This wonderful wedding was organized by Anna Brinkmann.
