Elegant Wedding in Hamburg

A day filled with love. The wedding couple, but also all the wedding guests celebrated a very emotional and touching wedding.  I had the pleasure to be a part as wedding photographer at this beautiful wedding. It was also kind of a home match having Anna Brinkmann as the wedding planner and Alper Tunc as the video photographer. The reception took place at the big ballroom at Süllberg, Hamburg. But let the pictures speak out loud:

Romantic Vintage-Bastel-Barn Wedding

Now it is getting beautiful. I know that Anna, the bride, put so so much effort into her wedding preparation. Most of the arrangements were handcrafted and the venue was not a usual one. The venue was an old manor in the middle of nowhere, somewhere close to Krummendeich. Streets were small and by approaching the venue houses were disappearing by the time – the best conditions for a beautiful vintage wedding. So I am including some shots of the decoration for you:

The informal wedding has been conducted by the lovely Anja Kellersmann of Glücksagenten. Some rain drops passed by but luckily they have been replaced by the sun very fast. In the evening the wedding party was celebrating in the big rustic barn including a beer wagon. The civil wedding was at the lakeside Bremervörde Backhaus. For me personally a great party ?

A Wedding at the castle Tremsbüttel

Castel Tremsbüttel – The Beatles were accommodated there in 1966 and fans spent the whole night in front of the castle to catch a glimpse of their idols. The next day they actually had showed up on the balcony of the castle. When shooting the bridal moments of getting ready in the huge suite, 50 years later, I caught myself thinking of them and having questions in my mind like: Did John Lennon sleep in this bed?…. Did George Harrison play his guitar on that couch? Pretty spooky..

But let us not get distracted by the Beatles and get back to the gorgeous wedding.

The ceremony was outside under trees and the bride played and sang a song. So romantic! The vibe on that day was cheerful throughout the whole day, a really great celebration. If this was influenced by John, Paul, George and Ringo? In my opinion, especially in 1966 they released the best album “Revolver”.  So who knows?!

Supported was the wedding also by the team of Agentur Traumhochzeit with great engagement. The great hair and make up was done by Isabella von Rothkirch and Debby Smith made the background music sound very special during ceremony and cocktail hour.

Un gelato al limon – A short trip to Rome

Thinking of Italy, the first thing that pops up in my mind is the song “Un gelato al limon“ by Paolo Contes representing the Italian lifestyle flair in the best way. I visited Rome for attending a wedding photographer event. WAY UP NORTH provides two days of interesting speeches attracting photographers from all over the world. I spent my free time on getting inspired by the beautiful city of Rome. I had met Aileen who allowed me to take pictures of her wedding. This time I also had my polaroid camera with me. It is sad that there will not exist films anymore on the market pretty soon
On the pictures you will also see my colleagues: Marlén Mieth, Luis Barreiro and Daniela Reske.

A close wedding on the island of Sylt

This is a short throwback to summer. Salty and warm air and my favorite island Sylt. A couple, the lighthouse keeper, his wife, the registrar, the wedding photographer. So less but still so much. A lot of sentiments, intensity, no distraction. Reduced to the most that matters: Love, Togetherness.
Have fun seeking in.
